Itching for a chance to play Mirage: Arcane Warfare? Well, now’s your chance. The multiplayer-focused title just recently entered its Open Beta testing phase and is now available to play for free on Steam. According to developer Torn Banner Studios, this will be the game’s final testing phase before Mirage: Arcane Warfare officially launches later this month. The Open Beta test is scheduled to last until May 14, so hurry up if you want to give it a try for free.
Mirage: Arcane Warfare is being developed by Torn Banner Studios, the same team that brought us Chivalry: Medieval Warfare a few years back. Similar to its predecessor, the upcoming game is a fast-paced, first-person action game that focuses on competitive multiplayer. Just as its name indicates, Mirage: Arcane Warfare takes place in a fantasy setting and revolves mostly around casting spells rather than swinging swords. That said, melee combat is still an important part of the game, just like in Medieval Warfare, though you’ll have to combine sword fighting with spellcasting if you want to be successful at taking down your opponents.
Mirage: Arcane Warfare is scheduled to launch on May 23 on Steam.
