Blizzard intends to take the eSports world by storm with Overwatch next month when the game finally exits the Beta phase. At first glance, the shooter/MOBA mash-up has everything it needs to become huge on the competitive scene, however, there is one small detail that could potentially prevent the game from reaching its goal and that’s the price tag. Unlike other eSports like League of Legends or DOTA 2, Overwatch will not be a free-to-play title, though at $40 for the standard edition it’s still cheaper than most new games at launch. But, if you’re serious about getting into Overwatch and starting off on the right foot you’ll probably want to look into the Origins Edition, and that’s where we come in.
The standard price of the Origins Edition sits at $60 and it includes several bonuses for a bunch of other Blizzard games. If you’re looking for a deal, though, CDKeys currently has a very interesting offer that will allow you to get the Overwatch Origins Edition almost for the same price as the standard one. Namely, the price is $40.96 so less than a dollar more than the regular version. Needless to say, if you’re planning to buy the game at some point you may as well get the Origins Edition since the price difference is negligible. It’s worth noting, however, that this offer is only available for the PC and that this is the digital version of the game, so make sure that’s what you were looking for.
As for the bonuses granted by the Overwatch Origins Edition, you’ll be getting the following very cool hero skins: Blackwatch Reyes, Strike-Commander Morrison, Overgrown Bastion, Security Chief Pharah, and Slipstream Tracer. In addition, you’ll also get Tracer for free in Heroes of the Storm when she becomes available, a new Overwatch card back for Hearthstone, a Baby Winston Pet for World of Warcraft, a set of Mercy’s Wings for Diablo 3, and six portraits for Starcraft 2. If you want to learn more about these bonuses or just Overwatch, in general, make sure to check out Blizzard’s official website right here. Overwatch launches on May 24 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
