Update: The release date has just been officially confirmed. The remastered Crash Bandicoot trilogy is set to launch on June 30 exclusively on the PS4.
Ever since E3 2016, Crash Bandicoot fans have been eager to know the release date of the upcoming PlayStation 4 remaster of the original trilogy of games.
According to a tweet from Activision today, fans won’t have to wait much longer. In the tweet, an image of Crash himself appears, with a date hidden by the game’s signature hit boxes. The caption reads “Don’t miss tomorrow’s big announcement! #crashisback”.

It seems that we will have to wait until tomorrow to find out when we can finally get back to the world of Crash, Coco and Cortex. Dubbed the N. Sane trilogy, the remaster will include Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, completely rebuilt from the ground up.
The news follows yesterday’s release of brand new screenshots of the game. The screenshots, first reported on by PlayStation Universe, can be seen below and showcase the updated graphics and new gameplay sections. The original trilogy, created by Naughty Dog earned their place in the hearts of gamers everywhere when they were released in the mid-late 90s. It is Vicarious Visions that will be handling them this time around, though.
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane trilogy will be launched exclusively to PlayStation 4.
